Natural DHT Blocker Review

DHT Blockers are an important factor in DrFormulas hair growth pills because DHT is one of the main reasons for hair loss. DHT is a form of testosterone present in both males and females that signal the hair root to stop producing hair. It binds to receptors present on hair follicles and cause them to stop making proteins that hair is made up of. Natural DHT blockers work by inhibiting the production of DHT and supporting hair growth.

HairOmega® DHT Blocker Hair Growth Vitamins

Saw Palmetto:

An extract from the fruit of the Serenoa rapens tree, saw palmetto is one of the most commonly used vitamins for hair growth because it has the ability to support hair growth. It does so by clocking an enzyme known as 5-alpha-reductase. This enzyme is known to convert testosterone to DHT, which in turn causes hair follicle miniaturization.

Beta-Sitosterol:

Beta-sitosterol is a form of phytosterol. Because it is similar in structure to cholesterol it competes with its absorption in the body, thus reducing cholesterol levels. It also supports a healthy inflammation response which help to strengthen the immune system. It also has the ability to promote normal prostate functions and support healthy urination in males. Research shows that taking beta-sitosterol in combination with saw palmetto can help support hair growth.

Pygeum africanum:

Extracts from the bark of the Pygeum africanum, or African cherry tree include beta-sitosterol, other plant sterols, triterpenes, and compounds known as ferulic acids. These extracts can be helpful for supporting hormonal balance and supporting hair growth.

Lycopene:

Lycopene is an antioxidant most commonly found in tomatoes. One of its main functions is the prevention of damage to your body by free-radicals. Free radicals are atoms that contain an unpaired electron, which means they can reach out and grab one from other atoms, in order to stabilize themselves. During the process of acquiring electrons from surrounding molecules, free radicals regenerate rapidly and can bombard the body’s healthy cells, causing diseases such as heart disease, immune system disorders and a decline in brain functions. By helping to neutralize damage to hair follicles and hair lycopene can support hair growth.

Quercetin:

Quercetin is a naturally occurring bioflavonoid found in apples, black tea, onions, and a variety of other plants. It has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Quercetin has also been shown to support hair growth. Studies [1][2]

Zinc:

Zinc is vital for healthy, young looking skin. Zinc prevents skin from becoming dry and flaky. It can also reduce the risk of acne and dermatitis. It is beneficial for the immune system because it is involved in the replication of DNA and also plays a vital role in the division of cells. As a hair growth supplement, zinc sulfate can help support hair growth.

Uncaria tomentosa (Cat’s claw) :

Cat’s Claw is a woody vine which contains several alkaloids as well as tannins. The plant’s extracts are known to have anti-inflammatory activities which can help boost the immune system. They also show promise for cancer prevention and for the treatment of osteoarthritis.

Red raspberries:

Raspberries are rich in anti-oxidants, so much so that they have been shown to be beneficial in the treatment of diabetes-induced oxidative stress. Anti-oxidants are also great hair growth supplements because they eliminate cell-damaging free radicals, boost the immune system and strengthen hair follicles.

Buchu leaves:

The leaves of the Buchu plant contain substances that promote urinary action which helps the body get rid of toxins and relieves the symptoms of bladder and urinary tract infections.

Pumpkin seed:

Pumpkin seeds are packed with nutrients. Their high vitamin C content is effective for promoting the production of collagen, which improves skin’s elasticity and gives it vitality. Because vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant, it can also help reduce the effects of aging such as wrinkles and skin discoloration it may also reduce sun damage. The seeds contain zinc which boosts the immune system and strengthens hair and nails. Pumpkin seeds also contain phytosterols which act as DHT blockers.

Burdock root

Burdock root contains many valuable hair supplements including biotin, B1, B6, B12 and E, zinc and sulfur. Because of burdock’s absorption of toxins from the bowel and alliterative effects on the liver, it has been used in the treatment of hepatitis C. Because it eliminates toxins, it can also promote hair growth.

Gravel root:

Like burdock, gravel root is beneficial to the urinary and renal systems. It’s also a potent anti-inflammatory agent. When taken as a supplement it increases the rate of toxin removal by the kidneys.

Marshmallow root:

As well as protecting the gut and the lungs , marshmallow root, also known as althea root, can be used to treat inflammatory skin diseases. In terms of the benefits as a hair growth supplement, marshmallow root is rich in plant proteins which promote hair growth and soften the hair.

Parsley:

Parsley is often thought of as a table garnish and is overlooked for its beneficial properties. It is rich in volatile oils and flavonoids. Volatile oils have tumor inhibiting properties by aiding removal of carcinogenic (cancer causing) chemicals that don’t belong in the body. Anti-oxidants are chemicals that take the brunt of attack by oxidizing chemicals so that your normal cells. Parsley has a lot of anti-oxidants that stop attack by free radicals.
