HairOmega 3-in-1 and HairOmega DHT - What's the Difference?
To understand what the difference is you must understand why hair loss happens. In summary we've deduced the 3 main causes of hair loss to be:
1. Poor nutrition - deficiencies in certain vitamins is known to cause dermatitis and hair loss including many of the B vitamins but in particular, biotin.
2. Poor circulation - Pharmaceutical researchers investigating minoxidil as a treatment for high blood pressure noticed This is the mechanism that minoxidil (Brand name Rogaine®) works by except minoxidil is applied directly to the scalp.
3. Hormonal Imbalance - DHT tells your hair follicles to stop making hair. It is a form of testosterone that is many times more potent and binds to receptors on hair follicles called androgen receptors. These receptors tell the cells lining the hair follicle to stop producing the proteins that hair is made of.
The 3-in-1 in HairOmega 3-in-1 refers to the fact that its unique and proprietary blend of ingredients supports circulation, DHT levels, and nutrition to maximize hair growth.
It also has MSM which supports skin and nail growth. Because it is such a comprehensive supplement you will need to take 2 tablets in the morning and 2 tablets in the evening. It is a vegetarian product.
HairOmega® DHT Blocker
HairOmega® DHT used to be just a DHT Blocker. It has recently been reformulated to contain many nutrients essential for hair growth including biotin. It address nutritional deficiencies and hormonal imbalances including excess DHT. It has green tea extract to support circulation but it does not have the grape seed extract that the 3-in-1 has. It also does not have MSM for skin and nail growth.
The newest version will say "Vegetarian Formula" on the front and contain Biotin in the supplement facts. The older version will say "Herbal Formula" on the front and won't contain Biotin.
The old version featured bovine capsules but the new version of HairOmega DHT features vegetarian capsules. The entire product is now suitable for vegetarians. The recommended dose is 2 capsules per day, one capsule in the morning and one capsule in the evening.
